Sweetie is a former feral from Fisherman's Cove who was TNR'ed in September afterhaving a litter of kittens. She was being fed twice a day and had a shelter to keep warm. When the fish plant destroyed her habitat, we went back to re-trap her and to our surprise, she is nowhere near as feral as she was the first year that we caught her. She has really mellowed out after observing us coming to feed her for 2 years. Now that she is living in "captivity" in our rescue workshop, she gets along wonderfully with the other cats and is tolerating humans quite well. She may hiss in fear, but has NEVER struck out, never scratched or bitten anyone. She will eat Temptation treats right out of your hand!
Sweetie may be a bit of a challenge, but we are confident there is a cat whisperer out there who wants a scaredy cat to love. She will purr under the right conditions, and loves to be brushed.
This cat has already been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, has been vaccinated and spayed/neutered. Please consider adopting this lovely kitty!
